On November 1, 2000, Typhoon Xangsane and on September 15-16, 2001, Typhoon Nari caused severe flooding. The substantial damages also shook our customers' confidence in the "Made in Taiwan" label.
To ensure the sustainability of SURTEC and protect our employees' jobs without succumbing to fate (flooding), starting in March 2002, the company invested 15 million NTD in installing 2-meter-high flood gates throughout the entire factory area.
Employees were organized into teams to install these flood gates, and with the collective efforts of all staff members, the installation can be completed within 30 minutes. This procedure is rehearsed annually.
Today, on the morning of July 24, 2024, Typhoon Gaemi barreled towards Taiwan. Under our employees' strategic risk management skills and strong teamwork, we have installed the flood gates in time to prevent any potential damages to the factory and delays to our manufacturing processes.
SURTEC relentlessly strives for excellence, continuously enhancing our infrastructure to deliver the best for our clients.
